Olivia Salazar Book: River Secrets pg 155 to pg 214
My book has made me laugh because there are parts where the main character, Razo, reminds me of me. He like has these moments where he spaces out or daydreams. His friends tease him all the time. That is typically something that happens in my life everyday so it just made me laugh.
There was many parts in my book when I would cringe, when he went further into explaining his life and abuse, some parts almost made me cry, how his mother after all those years still didn't have an explanation about why she treated David the way she did. I'd also cheer when things started going good for him, like him finding a new woman in his life, etc.
My book has made me laugh at the stupidity of some of the characters, cringe at the idea of being away from family and possibly, or most likely dying. Also, my book made me cheer for certain people during the games.
This book has made me smile because how much Clary cares for her mom. She never met her dad so she cares even more about her mother. When she gets taken away Clary stops at nothing to try and find her, as if she HAD to. I don't know if I would courageous enough to save my mom from man-eating demons.
